Lucy Kaplansky began her music journey in Chicago folk clubs as a teen, then moved to New York City, harmonizing with the likes of Shawn Colvin. She left music for a psychology career but was lured back by friends like Colvin. Her solo tapes impressed, leading to a music revival, signing with Red House Records, and touring extensively.

Hit albums like “Ten Year Night” and “Every Single Day” earned accolades. She was part of the supergroup Cry Cry Cry and later formed Red Horse. Lucy released various albums, including “Everyday Street,” showcasing her stripped-down style. Her voice graced TV shows and collaborations with renowned artists. She continues to tour and remains a top seller at Red House Records.
