Pat Donohue and Friends is a musical presentation featuring Grammy Award winning acoustic finger style guitarist Pat Donohue. As the guitarist for the “ Guys All-Star Shoe Band” of Minnesota Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion, Pat got to show off his savvy licks and distinctive original songs to millions of listeners each week for 25 years.
Accompanying Pat in this show are 3 “Friends” with impressive resumes of their own including Minnesota Blues/Rock and Country Hall of Fame inductee PK Mayo. PK Mayos distinctive vocals, guitar and slide guitar makes for an exciting blend between these two very accomplished musicians.
Also amongst Pats Friends is Richard Kriehn on Mandolin, a fellow alumni of the “All Star Shoe Band”. Richard’s history includes numerous appearances on The Grand Ole Opry and tours with Travis Tritt and Arron Tippin amongst others.
Anchoring this ensemble is John Wright on bass, a long-time-fixture on the Minnesota music scene who fronts his own Bands, Galactic Cowboy Orchestra and Lehto and Wright.
This combination of talent creates an interplay that is a unique sum of all of these musical “Friends”.
Tickets are $20 – $25 depending on seating.
